The smell wasn't near what I was expecting from reading here and all over the net. I think the smell that hit me when I opened the shed was worse than the smell of the old oil. I literally even sniffed the bottle when I was done and was like "meh"

S/C oil is like gear oil, goes in clean and within minutes it's already a murky color. Same with diesel oil.
used diesel oil is about as bad as it gets lol
Fixed my exhaust leak by putting a new dealer ordered header gasket in. Car is a lot happier although I'm not since I sliced my thumb open on the gasket.
Had to run to the jyard with my brother to get some parts for his Silverado and some for my Bonneville. On the way out I spotted a dark blue GP way back in the "inbound" off-limits lot that hadn't been processed for the yard yet. All I could see was it was a coupe that had the pass. side quarter smashed in. On a whim I asked the guy if I could check it out as I have been searching for a replacement front bumper cover in my color for 2 years now. Low and behold the rest of the car was spotless. Must have been garaged all it's life cause the odo showed 220K. Even sitting on the ground the front cover was in perfect shape for an 01. I got lucky that the paint code matched as I thought they stopped my color in 00. Anyways, $160 and 25 min later I had the cover off and in the backseat of my Bonneville, lol... Kinda a no brainer since they threw in the 2 Bonne door tweeters, drivers side wiper arm for the GP and a few other small parts I had on the table for nothing. All the splatter you see in the pic is some kind of green marking paint that wipes off with your finger. A nice buff with some light polish and some wax and it should look new. Even left the fogs in it, lol... Makes for a nice b-day present to myself even if a few days late.
Might go back for the rear bumper too as it was perfect as well. Absolutely NO clear coat issues, whereas mine looks like sh*t on the top edge all the way across. Would have took it today but had no way to get both bumpers in the car at the same time. It was bad enough driving home less than 12" from the steering wheel, lol.. At 6'2 I was a bit cramped to say the least. Small price to pay for a bumper that cost less than a new one+paint, plus a nice day spent in the jy.

Cool JY score and I wish mine was that color. Needed a black door for my GT and found it online with car-part. Truck freight from a couple hundred miles away included, it was $230 complete. Well worth it for the right color! Local CL has a nice red front cover for $40 and thats cheaper than bare aftermarket junk. Paint is HIGH, ain't it?
The little errand trip I prescribed myself today produced a grin with like thirty yards of rubber spent. Running a little low on that tho. Looked in the rearview and snickered then sniffed for the glorious smell of torque. Much better. Sure wish I could give that engine some love one day but it thrives on neglect. Grape is my sanity preserver and I talk to it and pet it. Or her, lol. Did that today fer shur!
Saturday I let a buddy drive it. With his main squeeze in the backseat he looks at her and says "Samm...." smirks at me "Nah, Bill already knows what I'm gonna say". With no clue where this was going, we coaxed him to continue. Kyle then said "I like Regals"
Poor guy.. Went out and got himself a low miles 2006 GP, and he falls in love with a high mile 2000 Regal.
It's just a Regal
Checked its fluids and topped off the coolant, i have so much mud around my PCM it hilarious .
Smiled at that clear 25mpg
I am figuring out the sunroof wiring for the alarm, I had it figured out before but I never wrote it down. I think I have it again...
Sold the infamous ricecar yesterday. Kid showed up 2 hours late and basically just gave me full asking price, filled out the paperwork, and drove off. I'll miss it but damn that was the easiest sale I ever had lol.
So I'm new to this whole HID thing. I have blue fog lights...the lens not the bulb. I have the 5500k retros and I still have halogen fog lights, so I want to upgrade. What temperature you guys think? What would happen with the blue housing?
^ knows everything electronics
Knows little about hids lol
If the housing has a blue tint and you pair it with let's say a set of 5k-6k hid bulbs it should still give that slight hint of blue.
I'd go 5k but seeing as your lens have a tint to them it may be a game of trail and error to get them to match up right.

I'd say a 4300k might look more round 5000k with the tint but its really hard too say. Like red said its probably going to be trial and error.
That's kind of what I figured, I was more asking if anyone else has gone through that trial and error. I'm thinking the 4300k too, but I might end up with 5000k. Just another thing to add to the list...
5k is usually more common where you could just get a set of cheapo eBay ones.

Booba, your lenses are blue with no light. You will never get good or white-ish light out of them, so I suggest new lights with clear lenses and 5l bulbs to match the headlights.
