you can pretty much expect to just rip the back wires apart if they are the factory wires. mine came apart too the first time i did em. and the ones that did come off together the metal part ripped out from inside the boot and stuck on the plug ends.

Thats exactly what happened to mine. Surprisingly it was easier than I thought it was going to be, and the 02 sensor really wasn't in the way with some extensions.

i used to put the socket on the plug, then ratchet and a 3 inch extension angled a bit past the o2 and just put the tip in the socket, then break it free.

with headers a plug change is super easy. no o2 in the way no more.

I'm "that" girl....the crazy one next door who was detailing the car at 8pm on a Saturday night in January....haha.

I grabbed my wheel cleaner and headed to the car wash to just strictly wash the wheels. Well....that escalated to a full on wash. So I came back to Lee's and proceeded to hand dry it and then wiped it down the spray wax. Then I even topped it off with some tire shine and gave the rims another good wipe down.
All outside in the drive because he has his truck parked all crooked in the garage and I can't get car in.

I mean...it's 40* so its practically summer out. lol

So yes....I'm that crazy neighbor girl outside messing with her car in the dark and not the most ideal temperatures.
But guess what....Caroline looks puuuurrrdddyyyy now

This was one of the jams I had going on the laptop while I was outside......

I thought I would rip them apart, but I learned a long time ago to give the boot a couple of twists to break them free and then twist back and forth while pulling. I got tired of that, so I put on my big girl panties and just yanked 'em like I was starting a lawn mower. They actually all came off in one piece.
I was worried about the O2 sensor wires, but I carefully used my universal joint for my ratchet so I wasn't that close to it. I had to put a new eye bolt in the wall so I could ratchet the engine forward. The first hook I had in couldn't take the stress. To be fair, it was rather flimsy and just couldn't take the pull of the 3800.

I used Meguiar's New Car Scent Protectant on the dash and interior. Gave the seats a wipe down with some Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer since they have the leather sealer from the Gold Class leather sealer kit. It is still doing great. Cleaned the interior glass with Meguiar's D120. Also clayed, polished and sealed all the exterior glass with DP Glass Coating.

Finally got the Bonneville washed and vacuumed out without fear of freezing the doors shut, lol... Low and behold it really is a black car. Vacummed the GP while I was at it but ran out of daylight to wash it. Will hopefully doing that in the am tomorrow before the neice's b-day party at 3. Pulled the codes out of it and it looks like I have some EGR troubleshooting to do. Think it's circuit related (yay, electrical issue ).

Changed the oil today and got super determined to figure out where I'm leaking a quart of oil every 1500 miles. Turns out the gasket on the sandwich adapter had a clean cut that originally was there when I bought it and looked like it was meant to be there. Cleaned it super well and put some gasket maker on it. Let it dry an hour and then filled oil up and drove. Looks like that was it. No more slow dripping.
But....now begins the process of cleaning the under side of the car from all the oil splatter.

I stopped at a touchless car wash and ran it through to get all the grime off of it. Then without me realizing it I hit 175,000 miles on the way home.

Got my trans cooler lines in, would have had them done in an hour butttt they were being massive assholes. And not lining up right, so after some persuasion crowbar and hammer. Everything ended up fitting great. Only lost about a pint of ATF, and lost 3 clips. Started at 11:30 finished about 2:00 or 2:30. Drove around flogging on it, no leaks. Just smells like burning ATF as I flung it everywhere getting the lines out. All in all, wasn't too bad. My grandpa thats deaf as hell and just trying to help kept getting in the way and eventually he just stopped helping and let me monkey with it as I kept yelling at him to stop. I apologized later and he said I knew it was pissing you off so I stopped helping.

To be more specific the lines kept rubbing each other so you could only get one in or one not in. Prying them I got both in but they rubbed then i hooked up the rad side and magically theh didn't rub anymore especially after that little holding bracket was put back on. That really pissed me off.

Been a productive weekend, I built and installed the new sub box, reran all the wiring to the new amp locations, made new grounds, installed more sound deadener, swapped out the remote start, and changed out the passenger side window regulator (along with new sound deadener since I ripped the old stuff off). Nice to have some great weather to work in!

Just found 1 seller on ebay claiming to have 3mm led's capable of running on 12v. This changes everything lol. All these stupid micro lamps in the radio, hvac, switches, etc that keep burning out will have an led replacement. There isn't enough room for resistors so thats why I'm glad I found them.

I also cleaned some carbon from the engine today. w/o fuel system cleaner though, when I add the cleaner I'll do this again
