Yeah me too. I did night driving and I couldn't be happier. Minus a bit of fine tweaking on the aim.
If classy does a sale again, I'm picking up a set and TRS bulbs and ballasts. I just can't figure out why my one headlight doesn't want to mount right but it shouldn't throw off the beam.
We're else can I buy the vaccum "T" for under the s/c? Local stores don't sell the type I need, GM dealership wants $40+ and the 2 I found at a j/y are also rotten.
plastic T and new vac line from the t to the hard lines.
I replaced all the hard lines with vacuum hose.

Cold started the 66 tbird today.
Gonna tear into my heater core tomorrow![]()
How long did it take you?
It runs and drives on it own. Does not idle at all. It will stop but not safely to drive. The rear brakes do not work at all only the fronts work.
I dropped the trans pan and changed the fluid. There was no fluid in the diff. So new gasket and fluid it seems good.
Amazingly nothing leaks. The cooling system needs some attention. It holds fluid but all the rubber is original. I only changed the fluid.
I get spark to all 8 cylinders. Seems to run really smooth. That is encouraging.
Yeah. A lot of work to go but its fun. I drove it up my driveway. I used to park it on my gravel drive way.
The better part 2-3 hours. Mostly cause my add kicked in and I started other mini projects. Once you identify the platinum rivets all u need is a dremel and flat head screwdriver. Have some number 8 machine screws on standby along with a 1/4 inch drive ratchet with a 5.5 mm socket will get you through
Well you're ahead of me then lol. Although the mustang will idle and rev. Has new rad hoses but the radiator leaks at the top when you leave the cap on (pressure builds).
I suppose your next job is to get the engine running well. And no leaks huh, that's pretty amazing. Mustang leaks in a few places. And hey you can work on it year round with a heated garage. My uncle's pole barn gets very cold with no heat, so it sits.
Just drove mine to school and back. Still adoring the light output of retros. Also took a red shower at school doing a trans fluid change. That was fun. Apparently the last few bolts that I left opposite of each other were not still threaded into the transmission, but into the gasket instead...

I just need to mess with the carb a bit to get this car to idle. I got a shed I stuff my vert in for the wintet and it is like an ice box in there.
I keep the garage at 50 and turn it up when i work in there.
Must be nice... Well I do have a heated garage, but no room for a car as it's a woodshop for my dad's business. He doesnt use it much, so it's half woodshop, half car repair shop lol. We keep the heat set at 58, and 64 when we work in there. At least I have that.
While I have the car apart but drive able i decided on undercoating then sheets of reflection material and then carpet

Sure is. Worst part is any of my enjoyable outside activities are off limits. And when my car needs work...I really hate doing that stuff in the wind and cold. I just can't stand the freezing feet and hands
