Looks good! They cleaned up nice!
Looks awesome D!
Thanks! They still need polished and some tire shine but Lee surprised me and put them on for me today while I was busy. They sure do throw more dirt up on the side of the car.
True, but it's worth it, lol.
Like!
So when you giving me my wheels back D?
I like the new look, D. Somehow the silver works WAY better than polished on your white coupe. Very nice visual improvement, I'd say. The offset difference sure helps the stance, too. That mud-slinging factor... well let us know after you get it dirty, how bad that is. Like does it fling more big stuff at the mirrors?
It's already dirty but I drove it down around the block and hit some mud and it spalttered every where. It seems to hit the front of the mirror casing a lot more. I'll clean the car up when it decides to stop raining and finish the wheels and do a proper photo shoot.
Brian....I'll let you have first dibs when I decide to get rid of them. Lol. Lee thinks I won't like them long cuz of the sling factor...but they look so good. I'll learn to deal with it.
Get some rally armour universal mudflaps cut them to size and and use them they are wide as **** and will cover those up
Well today I cleaned the radiator and condenser with gunk engine degreaser. I just removed the cooling fans and got it all soaked from the back, and went in from the air dam and got the condenser soaked. Hosed it all down, and they should be a lot cleaner now and better flowing. Then I saw that my lim was full of dirt so while it was running i just sprayed that area just keeping the water away from the alternator and icm. When I was done I noticed my lifters making a bit of noise, they're usually silent. I pull the dipstick, it's all milky... Somehow the water got in the engine, the vc gaskets are new. Idk how but now I have to change the oil again... I want to change it twice to get it all out though, I still have my old oil in a 5 qt jug, and the filter. That oil has 2,700 miles on it(synthetic too) I guess I'll just put the previous oil and filter in and run it for a bit, drain it and put the new oil and filter on.
Now how did the water get in? That's the real question. Only possibility that I can think of is my oil filler cap o-rings. It must be a good size leak because I only sprayed it for 30 seconds, then used the air gun on it to dry it. And a decent amount of water got in too.
Got the $700 special up and running today. Didn't need a fuel pump, my bin of spare relays pulled from junkyard cars solved the problem for free.
Good news is it already has a 3.4 MPS with a ZZP catless downpipe. I slapped a cone filter on the end of the throttle body and it pulls good. The previous owner (maybe two owners back?) was running on a stock tune. Still less than 2* though. And the LIM/VC gaskets are already done.
Bad news is there's no 4th gear. And it's got Dexcool that's starting to gum up. Sounds like I got a fun week coming
Put a tranny cooler on it. Well, its not hooked up yet since they gave me the wrong double barbs and the hose clamps I got won't fit, but I can put the car back together since the hard part is done.
Tore the front head off the comp g. Took about an hour then another hour to clean fricken gasket material off
wife woke me up this am and asked if i wanted to go to junk yard... hells yes i did!
asked about exhaust they won't lift the car for me once its down on the lot.. LAME.. i even found a seemingly intact set up.
started into a bumper (was silver, but would need paint anyways so whatever) get down to the last 4 screws underneath when i see the crack in it :( no bumper lovin for me.
Drove both GPs today, no fixing required. A buddy showed up in this and let me drive it around. Its a 5.7L. I've been wanting to try one on for size so to speak. It fit decent, I kinda liked it. A little sluggish but roomy and with plenty of visual zap. Looks a little too pink in this pic, I kinda dig the solid blue.

Ewww challengers, they look good and thats about it in my book.
Sent from the Milky Way
Challengers look good but are heavy turds, interiors feels crapped and just not worth what they go for. My Pops was considering a red SRT one a few weeks back but I quickly reminded him of how crapped it was in the inside and that he would hate it. Plus the price was ridiculous.
Challenger > gp.
real talk
Me too, but what other big domestic coupes are left? It would be several years before they enter my price range for sure!
