Well first time around.. I didn't bother to remove the old headliner and the suede I used that time around had a thick foam already attached to it so it made it extra thick. Wasn't a big deal at the time but you could feel the difference in the interiors temperature. I junked that headliner and grabbed another from the JY. Took my time remove the old headliner and then used some faux suede that didn't have much foaming on the back.
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
the few how to's ive seen they pulled the old fabric off then sanded the foam off, then glued the new material on with spray on rubber cement. also wrapped it around the edges a good inch.
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
Problem with our (well Grand Prixs) once you remove the intial fabric you have the foam that's still attach to the rest of the headliner. If you sand and remove the foam.. Then there's barely anything left to keep the headliner stable. That's the reason I threw my old one out I removed the foam completely and there just wasn't enough left to keep it stable even after I wrapped it again with suede that had foam attached to the backside. I didn't need to overlap it, wanted to keep it close to oem ish this time around once the fabric was attached and on good I took a razor blade and with the headliner upside down I slide the blade around the the out line of the headliner. Plus once you pop the trim in and slide the rubber seals around the doors over it your not going to see the edges.
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
the front and back window area would need to be wrapped on my car, thats the parts thats falling off. ive re glued it once already. i may just temp it up some more. a new head liners not gonna come easy around here. i can see it allredy lol
What did you do to your Car today?
I had my a and c pillars wrapped also at one point and with the sunlight.. And the heat it from it, it just didn't hold up well. Some GPs came with them wrapped in fabric and others were just the tan plastic. I had some of the plastic ones laying around so I just painted them up and bam. Problem solved. Plus I don't feel the need to overdo it with the fabric. Trust me.. There's been a reason it took me 5 years to re do it lol 04s with a sunroof don't pop up in the JY much.
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
Rain X'd the window again ... cleared DTC. Effff you DTC, you don't dare show your fuggin light to me!
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
Just did a nice 1800km round trip to Whitefish, MT. Car ran perfect, and I came real close to making it to Whitefish on one tank; 743 km. Only ever managed 620 km on a tank before.
Gotta find an annoying squeak from under the car now.....sounds like a rusty sign blowing in the wind!
Re: What did you do to your Car today?

Re: What did you do to your Car today?
Yards... you mean almost a meter?
I laugh at your avatar everytime I see that damn thing
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
I'm English, all this metres & kilometers messes with me....even after living with the damn system in Canada for 10 years! KMH just feels so slow when driving.
Sid the Cussing Rabbit is great; it'll be a sad day when he's not on the Craig Ferguson show anymore.
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
I'll need to check it out.
100kmh is seriously slow. First time over the border with a hud that switched (speedo didn't), I looked down and said.. 62mph.. are you kidding me. We don't even drive that slow on our highways.
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
I love crossing the border into Montana and seeing 70mph immediately on the normal road signs....finally......freedom for the motor.
Although, Highway 2 in Alberta has a 110kmh limit, it's 'accepted' that 125kmh is just about 'fine' to drive at before you draw the attention of PC Plod. You just have to watch for the dodder's doing 80kmh, hogging the outside or middle lane in places, and moving for NO ONE!!

Little nascar bump from the rear should solve that, or they lock up the brakes and you both crash horribly. Canada is definitely an interesting place screw the winters tho.

Re: What did you do to your Car today?
saved my car from the rain once again. it stopped raining before i had to go out, the roads dried up, so i dried it with my shammy. looks car wash fresh. its nice when you dont have to drive in the rain, cause its dirty then. parked and rained on is savable tho.
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
Screw your clean black car.. c'mon.. it's gotta get dirty
Speed limits here are 65MPH in Newish England, most do about 80mph though. Funny part was on a cross country trip, seeing 70-75mph signs only meant the ticket wouldn't be as bad.
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
its been dirty for to long. it rained a lot for a while, and now not so much, but the last 2 little storms was a save in my book.
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
Mine has been coated in pollen for weeks. Washed it.. more happened.. last few storms I didn't have it outside to even rinse it
