I know, I figured that out shortly after posting and decided to let my SC dreams die. N/A 4 life

id still nab it for under 300.
I'll have an Official decision Monday.....
I hate being indecisive
Plus being N/A isnt that bad, gas is cheap and you dont have that annoying blower whine :D

just save up for a turbo, set it to like 8 or 9 psi so the trans dont crap the bed.

So does that look normal?
replaced power steering pump today . not as bad as i thought. 98 gtp, took pass. tire off popped out tie rod end unhooked rubber line to drain fluid unhooked steel line.unbolted the two 13mm bolts holding pump.unhooked knock sensor wire. turn pump where pulley faces you take puller and remove pulley. lay pump over it comes out the fenderwell. put new pump in facing out replace pulley with install tool.replace pump as removed.replace belt fill pump with new fluid turn full left, full right 5 times each.clean up tools put them away. do test drive all is good 2 hours total at most plus couple breaks.
Flashed 2.5 bar os on HP tuners. Getting ready for turbo time!!
cool, i didnt think there would be enough room for the puller and tools to work freely in. good to know.
me. picked up 2 band clamps for the header install.

and for some reason my rad cap is letting coolant push out of it. it was wet again. time for a new cap. i just changed this one. so maybe ill put the one that worked ok back in. i still have it somewhere.
Yeah the puller is pretty small, pretty neat tool. It removes and installs the press fit clutches
Some aftermarket caps fit too loose. And if the radiator is cheap enough it may cause the issue.
my rad is new, the cap is newish too. this all started after the rocker install. not even close to over heating either, its running normal temps.
Well I was a bit confused as to what the issue was. Coolant pushing out of it would mean its letting it go to the overflow tank. But you said it was wet so I guess its getting past the inside seal. If the second one it might not fit as tightly as it should
See what happens when you mod Scotty.. Bad things come from it :(
Went to junk yard and pulled 2 L67 heads, the ones i sent to the machine shop had cracks between intake and exhaust valves. Grabbed a heavy duty police Impala 9c1 alternator 125amp and the dual high speed fan assembly of it also, much better cooling
Like 90% of heads will get those cracks, and nothing happens. I woulda cleaned them up, did the valve jobs and whatever you were gunna do and run them without a single care.
Just finished the Transgo install, with a twist. I left the DIY spacer on top of the 1-2 accumulator, and added the red spring in with the 1-2 springs as well (on the bottom). Shifts much better, but I reset TAP's so time will tell. I also used a bottle of Lubeguard Red and ~8 quarts of Dex VI. Shifts a much quicker, 1-2 is about 0.1 seconds, 2-3 is 0.08, and my 3-4 is 0.13.
Now onto to the other 2 problems. I clatter-ish noise coming from the rear of the engine, possibly the engine or the transmission, not sure. Also, while cruising at low speeds (30 MPH - NOT in lock-up) the RPM randomly drop to about 500 (from 1000-1100), then come right back up. You almost wouldn't notice it, but the lights dim and you can hear it in the exhaust. I have yet to have it happen in Neutral\Park, only in Drive.
