Not even needed as long as the trans reaches 78 degrees that's when the torque converter kicks in. Unless you live in an area that it goes like-30

Dang. I'm all set to do an ATF change, but don't have a cooler. Hmm. I am not used to buying two gallons of fluid just to drop pan n filter! Just got back from the goodie store though. I can kinda see/hear the TV from the driveway area so I might do something after all ... (Sprint Cup)
Scotty I dig that song. Whole lotta Rosie is good too lol. Technically I'm driving SuperBetty now. Thought of calling her BettyBoost but thats to close to Bill. Ha.
You can pickup a cheapie off ebay for like 45 bucks, depends how concerned about temps you are. Im not cuz I have yet to see over 180. Hell if you do a cooler and don't have a shift kit....well you can see the domino effect. Who doesn't like throwing money at new stuff?

Me :)
meh- mine don't make any extra heat. Has two dents in the pan though. Fluid looks fine, drives good.
I'm real curious how people are liking the TransGo kits. With L67s and 4T65E-HDs in earlier GTPs with manual select on perf shift like me. But I need input in the TH350/TH400 language, know what I mean? Never rode in a kitted FWD car. The Trans-Scat in the 69 hits like a load of bricks.
Just topped off my A/C. That AC Pro thing is pretty cool. When I get low, the driver's side warms up a little. That must have to do with what section of the core each zone blows through? I dunno. CAF next...
In other words, what is the least agressive kit that chirps second with stock tire size? If theres no chirp to be had, I'm out on the reprogramming kit.
i have a shift kit in my tranny, dont know what kit it is bill had put it in the tranny years before.
when perf shift is off, it feels rather stock. but when perf shift is on its real nice firm quick shift.
people seem to love the trans go. pretty sure is got a few settings to choose from, firm and real firm lol
Does she ever scratch second? Didn't know you got that rig from our Fred Flintstone. I'm actually 95% happy with stock on perf shift but rego is just TOO soggy.
I think someone referred to the thrasher kit as neck breaking
Bought a car over the weekend:

ive seen vids of these cars just breaking both front tires free going into second gear lol was damn cool looking too. but heavily modded also.
if i had better tires like a softer tire they might chirp on hot day. like i said it feels like it should chirp. it shifts that nice over stock.
sounds damn cool too when the sc is at full song and it shifts, and the whine of the sc has to start over.
Nice yellow Vette! Fast as it looks?
Scotty I think I may post my airbox slots as a how to, I'm liking that after a few weeks of mild whine. I thought about you earlier when I was sitting at a light in the 69 drowning out somebody's subs with it idling at a nice gluggy 500 RPM in gear. Ha
Thanks! Puts a smile on my face from ear to ear every time I hit the gas. The Vette is faster than my LS2 GTO. Of course it helps the Vette is about 700ish lbs lighter and quite a bit more aerodynamic. You hit the gas and it just keeps pulling thanks to the LS6. However, I wouldn't say its fast, but it will scoot when you need it to. For a stock car it's not bad.
I think you're safe to say fast, in here anyway. Fun on tap! Enjoy safely.
I'm jelly. Nice vette
Love the Z06. Would drive.
Saturday I changed the oil in the GP, washed/detailed, threw the wife/kid in the car and booked a$$ to Indy. Now that the rear tires aren't crap it rides very well at 85 surprisingly. Got to see a good race and just got back about hr. ago. Soon it will be beer time :th_biggrin2:
My first legit post of the day:
Serviced my air filter, added cabin air filter, added refrigerant and possibly found source of leak. The K&N was a PITA, my first reusable. This filter had been in a rollover though, it had engine oil and all kinds of debris that I had to dig out. Thats a lot of work for a fresh air filter! GTPs rock though, I truly enjoy mine.
