Mine had a date stamp of 07\21\99 on it, so I'm pretty sure it's the original transmission. I also found a screen that broke off the original TCC PWM solenoid in the valve body. Installing the PTFE seal and the new Sonnax TCC Apply valve was a ***** to say the least. Other than that it was pretty easy. I still have to swap out my new subframe tomorrow though...that could be fun.
Hmm were you having problems with the tcc apply valve? I was thinking of tearing mine down again if I was in the mood, to put in the sonnax boost valve to try and solve my slight pressure loss when hot.
I was having problems with TCC oscillation, so I've basically done everything you did, except replace the clutches steels on the 4th shaft, and this valve. I ended up having to run a bore brush through through the bore to clean it up. There was a burr that was a PAIN to clean off. I didn't do the boost valve, I only put in the TCC apply valve.
Damn, now come do my classy black girl, Betty! I dig the tag frame. Needs more tailpipes.
That was just the only thing I saw that I could break balls over lol. She looks tidy, whats getting painted starting tomorrow?
Man ... I need to do something to my car today. Got ideas but no want-to.
Brakes on a caddy yesturday and did a new fuel level sensor on the sisters bonneville today.
Sweet. Theres me an idea for tomorrow ... the leather. Haven't done it proper on this car yet. I'll keep an eye peeled for the new valance color.
Was going to do the spark plugs on a buddies f150 until I looked under the hood and could only get to 2 of them.
Did some errands and noticed my trans temp was 233... Think I might need a trans soon

It should, I think all cars are different about it tho. My car on my way to work rarely hits 180 trans temp about 30mins at 55. But my moms car hits that in half the time going same speed. But her coolant temps stay solid at 205/210 mine stay around 185 but I should have a 195 tstat *shrugs*
