Re: What did you do to your Car today?
So you are saying it is probably the right rear bearing?
Sucky part is, I already have everything off the right rear to replace the damn caliper. I guess I will find out tomorrow. Uncle said to come over and we will put it in the garage so we can figure it out.
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
Grab the spring and spin the tire fast by hand, if you feel any vibration it's the bearing.
I'm pretty sure its the RR.
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
Advice is much appreciated. Today was a very frustrating day.
I already have a rear wheel bearing in my shopping cart on Advance's website. I might just say eff it and purchase it and pick it up before I go to my uncle's. That way if it is the issue, I already have it. If it is not, I can always take it back.

I'm guessing you'll send it to Dyno Brian after you get it back from the shop fixing what you broke putting the headers and 3.6 pulley on? (sorry...couldn't resist...)
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
I already have it back :P now it's just time to attempt headers and a 3.6.
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
Well at least with all bearing done you know it will be good for a while. There is an up side to it sucks to do all that but sooner or later it need to be done

I already do and I did before. Trust me I have more than enough money put away for any stupid things I break.

Yeah, that is definitely a positive. I just wish I would have figured out which bearing it was before spending $200 on the front end. Bearings should be good until well after I get rid of the car. LOL

I just tend to learn things the hard and expensive way.. What can I say. I'm CapnBreakAlot for a reason.

A penny of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
Keep the old bearings incase a new one dies out in a year or so, likely a warranty might be up.
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
I got my tires mounted earlier, then got to test them in the snow. Worse than the bfg's I had on ice but better in fresh powder.
Car feel's so much better with the right size tires on it.

There's a problem with that. When I took the bearings out the bearing came out but the sensor part stayed in the spindle so I had to pound that part out with a screwdriver and hammer. It happened with both bearings.
EDIT: Just checked and the Moogs I got have a 3 year warranty. I don't plan on having the car that much longer.
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
Tinted my reverse light bar first time I ****ed it up royally had to sand all the way down starting with 80 grit all the way up to 2500 then rubbing compound then retint then clear coat. I have to finish it up tomorrow

So lets see. I stopped at Advance last night and picked up a wheel bearing. Got up this morning, changed driver's wheel bearing..... still have a growling noise. Figured okay, the passenger side needs changed. Went around the rest of the car and found my brake fluid leak in the right rear caliper at the e brake mechanism. Get online, order caliper, order another bearing, go in town and pick it up.
Come home, change rear brake caliper, get my mom to come pump the brakes for me so I can bleed it. I proceed to change the right wheel bearing. I go for a ride, the growling is still f$cking there. On top of that there is a metallic noise that can be heard at low speeds that sounds like something hitting as the wheel spins. After several attempts at figuring out the metallic noise I take the front wheel back off, take the caliper off, make sure brakes are all aligned, put it back together, go for another ride, and the metallic noise is still there.
I do the same to the passenger rear, and the F$CKING NOISE IS STILL THERE.
SO now, not only did I spend $200 on wheel bearings and my time to replace them and it didn't fix sh!t, but now I have a new noise that I cannot diagnose.
The only positive that came out of the day was I found where my brake fluid was going, and I may have fixed my disappearing power steering fluid problem with a hose clamp.
RAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGE
Check and make sure the brake shields aren't rubbing anywhere
