Hell yeah it's better. 06 LT3 z71 is a huge upgrade from a 94. The heated leather seats and seat memory does it for me. Lol
i went from a 97 to a 03, bought both brand new, the 03 was far nicer in every respect.
I still haven't wired in my dash cam correctly to turn on with key in run position, so I'm manually plugging it in. I forgot to unplug it yesterday and recorded the whole morning's events lol. I recorded all of it but it starts wiping over the old videos after it fills up. I think I'm gonna get that taken care of today...
Installed a new water pump after the car kept giving low coolant light, but never going above 210 F. I also had an interment coolant leak. There was some issue getting the power steering pump back on after tightening that blocked bolt. Here was my solution, being left handed I realized I could take off the cap to the power steering pump, hook my right thumb in there, bring the pump to position and use my left thumb to start the top bolt. Once I fidgeted the pump to the proper position I was able to install it in about 10 minutes with a 13mm extended socket.
Replaced fuel pressure regulator. Do I have this clip on right?

Should I dump $500 in the car to get the oil pan gasket, rear vc and an oil change done?
Lee and I are in a battle over it....he doesn't want me to put that kind of money into it.

The one shop I called, the guy basically told me I didn't know what the hell I was talking about because the oil pan gaskets don't just leak...wel dude, your dumb and apparently don't know **** about the 3800s. He kept asking how I knew it was that...well I've cleaned and cleaned and cleaned and it keeps coming back at that gasket, not to mention the dealer has told me several times.....so I'm pretty sure I have a good diagnosis. And he wanted ME to call him back in the morning because he didn't have time to look it up. Excuse me? I hung up at that point, I was so mad.
All I did was call and ask a question for a quote, not to get treated like a dumb bimbo with no brains. &^!/! $#! $&!*!/!/!!!!!!
Danielle I could do the rear vc for you and you could see if it gets better. I could do the oil pan gasket too but they suck lol
I heard if pvc valves are partially blocked it can cause excessive pressure in the crankcase, making oil leaks worse. Replace it if you haven't already and it may help.
The oil pan does suck....that's why I'm not doong it either lol. I did get a good job when one guy found out I did the front vc myself :-)
Tell me more about the pvc valve. ....I know nothing of the critter. If I can do it myself and cheap, heck yeah I'll try it.

PVC valves are like 7 bucks. Super cheap. That what caused my oil leak to be way worse. I was loosing 2 quarts inbetween oil changes. Now I only loose a half of a quart if that inbetween changes

Replaced the 02 sensors. Runs so much better now. Also better fuel economy. On my short test run 50 miles averaged 24 mpgs and I had some good wot runs too.
Bought it stuff for an oil change. We'll see what the weather does tomorrow to see if I will be able to do the oil change or not.
Started thinking about about spark plug and wire change. Should I go with AL606 or 605's? Only mods are ZZP 3" dp (catted) and a custom intake.
