Hello All, I am looking to repair my EVAP system as it keeps coming up with a GAS CAP error. I have replaced it and replace the valve at the engine. I am in need of a diagram of the EVAP system. I also am looking to find out where the evap canister is.

Thank you for your help in advance.

evap canister is by the gas tank on the drivers side. Check your vapor lines and all hoses for cracks.

    NO thats cat efficiency
Bad o2, or bad cat. you could try a bottle of Mr. Gasket Cataclean
Proper diagnosis is needed. Scanner readings on upstream O2 should be above 0.800 and below 0.200mv to much activity on back O2 might be reason. Also watching MAF readings, and misfire codes/readings.
Also take a look at Long Term and short term fuel trims.

What gas cap did you get? When my gas cap broke, the "2004+" cap I got from AutoZone kept throwing a code. A little research found that 2004 caps are not always compatible and their was a different part number for 2005.

And that's what I'm talking about. The first 3 have 3 different lengths to them. 2.0 inches, 2.4 inches and 2.5 inches.

.1 inch likely makes no difference, but half an inch sure might.

Did you save your old one? Measure it against your new one. Or if your new one is 2.4/5 inches buy the 2 inch one.
