    Hello,

Got an engine put into my car so it's running again. I notice that my exhaust is pulsing, like vroom...vroom...vroom (maybe every second or so). I don't see the tach going up or down. What could be the cause?

    Thanks!

    Matt

okay, I'll check for that PCV hose when I get home. I'll check the plug wires as well. If plug wires were crossed, wouldn't that cause a misfire?

ok, wires are good as it's not misfiring to my knowledge. And my knowledge is when the CEL flashes lol. Car's running pretty good I believe. Seems to be running rich, but I met someone on the dreaded 3800 performance facebook group that lives by me and he's going to help me tune it.

I wouldn't trust 99.9% of the people on those boards...last I remember they have ol' Z-Tune Zack Howard helping run those pages.

As for the "idle surge" you seem to be having...any video of it? Stock cam?

I will take a video of it. Yes, it's a stock cam. Yea, I much prefer this forum to that page. Seems people here are more knowledgeable.

Sgt - I haven't bought a tuner, but he has one. Said I could use it if I pay for credits.

The guy I met seems to know what he's doing, he's got a badass Riviera, pretty quiet on the page though.

there are some good people on facebook, but you still have to be careful. sounds like you got yourself a hookup on an HP Tuner. I would be all over that.
