    I saw that.
I thought it was just for Apple stuff. Checked and it's for android to.

I use Torque but sometimes I get impatient with the bluetooth and phone scenario.
I am hoping I can just plug and play with a handheld.

What size wire should I be looking for to repair the harness?

It is 100% plug and play. I have never had issues with pairing or anything like that. It does real time readings and recordings. I have left it plugged in since I bought it.
