HEy eveyone

so ive me quite a bit of work to my lovely 99 Grand Prix GTP, and im wondering where I should go next, I was thinking ignition at least basic stuff like zzp coiles and plugs ( if i do that I'll swap my tr55 for tr6s too) i was thinking do that then move onto getting a tune from overkill. After that I want to drop to a 3.4. I'm sure I have enough to drop to thst safely but as it sits I'll be scanning Tuesday for any kr with my new setup. What do you guys think? What should I do next and where should I hold off on and go for now. Like I said ignition is what I want to do next but I'm open to suggestions. was looking at some 1mm shorter dog bones to kick it off.any input is very helpful.

Don't waste your money on ZZP coils. Stock works better.

Just the fact that everyone runs stock coils on everything.

GM coils are just that good, they have no issue providing proper voltage to engines make well north of 400-500whp. Hell even the stock LS car/truck coils are good for 800-1000hp.

Almost everyone who goes with aftermarket coils end up going back to stock because the aftermarket that are supposed to be better end up not working as well.

Okay, so what do you guys recommend as of now? If you had my mods what would the next thing you would do? If coikes and plugs aren't an issue then I'll skip/ leave them for a while. What's next guys?

With the new 3in do I can tell the car sounds nastier and start nicer. But I've love a considerable amount of torque I can tell. Hopefully when I get s tune it will all come together.

Buy your own tuner. It's the most cost-effective way to keep your engine from blowing up. Then, headers and a Borla cat-back will make it sound the best it possibly can, maybe do rockers or a mild cam. Anything beyond that and you will probably need a built trans, unless you drive it like a granny and never go past 50% throttle. These are decently quick cars, but they aren't fast cars.

Keep it mild, and keep driving it for a few more decades.

Focus more on ride and handling, looks, and comfort. Those will be what you will enjoy the most in a car that you drive every day.

Yeah, just get poly bushings for in there.

I went with a 3" Borla cat-back on a '99 GTP. Noticed on the first drive without a tune, redline was quick but torque fell off considerably.

Most guys say stay with stock diameter unless you go turbo/heavy mods.
