oh god i know, mine is both sluggish to respond and annoying. if i romp it to wot and leave it in D it will jump down a gear and then jump down another gear and not just skip to the one it wanted to go to. waste of time and interrupts to flow of the pull. Can't wait to get a tune.

That's about the biggest difference. Your car won't be any faster, it'll just feel different.

Oh i know, i'm not looking for this part to make my car 400hp, i just know that one thing most people do when modding is add some sort of tune. Plus what i've heard it makes everything better.

4-2 and 3-1 downshifts will break parts, there is kind of a reason they will drop single gears at a time. Just a FYI.

I know those downshifts are fun, but if you want the trans to last, you need to avoid them. These transmissions are not that bad if you are smart with them.

So if cars have knock why not simply install a water/meth injection? I had a 400 Pontiac with 10.5 to 1 compression and a 256 duration cam, that engine would rattle anywhere above 3500 regardless of timing.
My 402 bbc was 10.5 to 1, ran 290-300 duration and could handle 45-55 total timing cruising high 30s low 40s with no vacuum advance underload. The Pontiac got a cheap Holley water injection and it sure helped.
There used to be a system called the Goodman water injection, it was a miracle for low octane/high compression combos.
I know Snow Performance makes a great one.

Because most people would rather spend money on mods that make no difference.
