after I got rid of my purple gtp, picked up a Jeep JK that was lifted. drove that for a bit but realize I don't offroad as much as I wanted to plus mpg was in the 13-14 in mix city/highway sold that and picked up a 03 vibe gt and currently enjoying it! maintenance and drivability is decent. plastic interior but I'm ok with it, it gets the job done commuting to work plus it's peppy to boot. I still have the Camaro in the garage anyways. also picked up a 04 Honda element ex for snowy weather.
That is the bad thing about Jeeps, they are a purpose built vehicle, and that purpose is driving off-road. I feel sorry for those guys driving them down the highway when the wind is gusting 70mph. And they cost too much for what they are.
