Hey guys I have some money to blow and I'm torn on if I should spend it on a nitrous kit or do some suspension upgrades(maybe some new struts and ssc springs). What do you guys think!!?!

Why nitrous? Do you track your car? or specifically need it? Since riding around with nitrous connected is not legal in most states, I would go with suspension.

I don't track it very often and don't specifically need it. I live in Arizona and last time I checked it was illegal to have it hooked up but I kind of figured that law was like having hid in halogen housings (no cop cares). Plus why would a cop be searching my trunk in the first place.

    Go for the suspension.
The score is now 2-1 in early voting!

Ya suspension is more practical anyway. I've just pretty much run out of performance mods unless I go cam or intercooler both of which are pretty expensive and time consuming. Nitrous just seemed like a reasonably priced, easy install gain.

Extra power is nice but it's almost always more rewarding to improve something that you can always use, like improved suspension.

Then again I installed an intercooler before any suspension related parts...

Ya speed is more fun but it's safer if and more practical if you can actually control the speed you make with a good suspension.

Sub question: if I go suspension should i do some new gr2s and canuck springs
Or addco rear/dorman front sway bars with poly bushing and endlinks.
    Which would grant more prerformance?

Last week I installed the progress front sway bar with poly endlinks, and I already had a GMPP rear sway bar in. It made a huge difference. The car actually corners flat now and at better speeds. I'm on stock suspension and I don't really see a need to improve it with how much the sway bars have helped. I also did replace both tie rods at the same time since the bushings in mine were obliterated. That probably helps a little too

Hmm sway bars sound pretty nice and they are the cheapest upgrade out of my choices..

Ya I'm pretty decided on suspension. I'm still going to do nitrous unless I can find a shop that can do a cam install for a fair price. I've done all the work to my car so far but a cam is pretty intense sh*t. My backyard mechanic skills aren't at that level yet haha

Man up and do it yourself. The hardest part about a cam install are the valve springs if you're using an autozone or similar valve spring tool. They just suck, plain and simple. But the cam and all that is pretty straightforward.

If you have enough money for a full nitrous setup including a tune and bottle refills, then you have plenty for a cam. DO THE CAM.

No one here has ever regretted putting a decent cam in their car. (don't go VS btw, Go big or go home)

Ya I have a tuner so I'm good on that. I already have 90# springs installed but I don't think that's heavy enough for any besides the vs which isn't worth the work. To top it off it's my daily driver. When I did my top swap it took me 3 days.

Yeah the whole having your daily driver down for multiple days thing SUCKS. Good call on not having that. I'll stick with my suspension advice. Good luck.

I think it would still take a weekend for someone with a little mechanical experience to swap the suspension

building all 4 struts. Removing old ones. Trailing arms , rear links. Front links. Sway bushings front and rear. Front end links. Lower control arms

Your right but i can build the struts off the car and I can split it up. One week I can do all the front stuff and next week I can do all the rear ☺
