clean the piss out of it. then change all gaskets, but the heads. leave them on there.

rockauto sells a felpro lower conversion gasket kit, has the pan, rear cover, front cover, both crank seals, w/p gasket oil pick up and the oil filter housing gasket. for like 30 bucks.

re gasket the whole bottom end. and rockauto also sells the magnum lim gasket kit for like 40 bucks, comes with o rings and other gaskets.

then wire wheel all the rust off. clean it with brake cleaner and paint it up the color of your liking.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

Unless it's yellow. Don't do that.

what a groove looks like, if you see this, take a good look at the seal if its not damaged re use it. a new seal will leak with a repair sleeve.

sleeve on pis is after it was ran for a while, and still leaked, so you can see the new score line the seal was making.

this was a brand new seal. seems like it was dried out from sitting in a box for who knows how long. but its all busted up.

good news is, changing the seal int he cars not all that hard really.
