What do you think? I've been thinking about mounting cams in all our cars since they're not expensive anymore and this would just slip right over my existing non functional autodimmer.

That sounds pretty cool.

I can't even see in mine, my parts car one is better, I can see half of it, lol. I'm cheap, otherwise I'd get one of those, had been looking at them before.

Shame they don't last and that replacements are so expensive, auto dimming mirrors are not exactly bleeding edge tech.

YOu guys do know taht replacements are cheap at a JY usually or ebay?

I swapped from the doa one to an autodimming, homelink, compass one. $40

yeah no s*** you can actually get much better lighting if you get convertible units.
it's amazing how much easier it is to see s*** in an 85 Mustang GT when the convertible rear view mirror is adding light to that ****ty ass single bulb in the roof behind the sunroof.
although on my daily I switched out to a manual damper but that was so I could sell someone the Auto dimmer. I paid 10 bucks for my new mirror and I sold the Auto dimmer for 80

Average price for a used one was 80 when I searched in December. Bone yards ain't got jack around here.

I got the 7 dollar one and never looked back. Wait no, yes I can look back now, ha ha. The autodim I have is a coffee table ornament but I'll probably install it if I ever try to sell the car.

Gotta read the listings, the first one is damaged, some are listed as for a Nissan, etc.

How did you complete a search without spending any time at all?

Good to know- I'm going with the one in the post though since I really want the cams to record traffic nonsense/ cop interactions.
