Russ... let me assure you that your diagnosis theory works. I have two broken wires in the front. One wheel speed sensor out on the FR and an other broken wire on the RL. Now... can't find where the break is in the rear wire.... yay...

    FRONT LEFT

    FRONT RIGHT

Does anyone know where corrosion usually starts in the rear wires? I traced the wire all the way up to where they both connect. I'm thinking of just going off this harness and adding a new one.

I farm. I live in a town but my farm is 15km from town and there's no paved roads to the farm, straight gravel roads my friend. One trip to the farm makes my car in need of a wash.

Glad you found the break, it wasn't 100% my theory or idea Booba has said it before and the pins I was just sharing it mostly and trying to refine it.

Well you helped a lot. I cant believe that these wires are all screwed though. I see that the fronts break in the exact same place for some reason? They must get pinched on the CV or something? The second picture looks like a clean cut.

Still a mystery to where the corrosion or break is on the rear one though.. I think I'll separate the two all the way to that harness and then just get a new one and some how make it easier to change for next time.

I'll wash my car today RED... I'll post a picture for you too to make you happy man. lol

I think its just age and the wires get stiffer and the rough roads just make them more fragile.

Yup just trace the wire back and pull the loom off if you have to until you find the break. For the age out of cars corrosion or broken wires are common. Boobas works but sometime you just have to go the old fashion route and take a look at the wire themselves.

Also, when you go to splice the wiring back together don't just use butt connectors and tape. Strip the wire back until you find CLEAN copper wire, not black/green/whatever. Likely the point where it's broken has "dry wire" and won't conduct power correctly and could cause the code to stay even though it's now seeing some power. Then slip some heat shrink tube on one side of the wire, soldier the wires together and then use the heat shrink tubing to seal it up. This will ensure your repair will last.

Yeah... they seem stiff. I was planning on doing that Ford. Too many times hooking up car audio dealing with 1 million wires and then having one not crimped good enough and pulling a part lol

The not finding clean wire I think is my issue with my intermittent ABS light. I always get mad at the car then it comes and bites me in the ass. Like when I did my brake pads and only put 2 new pads on lol.
