Since you wanna be "that guy" eh, you coulda searched and found the write up. But I got this.

Pretty much all you need to know, most of the tools and situations are the same for anything from 97-08. Be it a bonneville, regal or grand prix.
i like to pop the tie rod end out of the knuckle then push it out of the hub. some have said it will just come out with out popping the ball joint or tie rod.
to get it out of the tranny, you need to push it in, so its off the C clip inside, then with a pry bar wedged in between the trans and axle. you pretty much have to kick the pry bar to pop it past the C clips thats holding it in.
key is it cant be resting on the C clip or it wont come out. push it in, then pop it out.
So after you pop the tie rod off what does that do?
And if you take your ball joint off do you need a special tool to put it back in? These may be dumb questions but I'm not a mechanic!
The special tool is the pry bar.
Push it back down and re-align with the hole the knuckle, then put the nut on and tighten it back down.
I have a special tool. Gearwrench 82248, it's the official axle removal tool for me and ... it is Scottdoggs approved!
Well that was a job, ended up doing a ball joint tie rod axel and wheel bearing but I can't get the abs and traction control light off
Mine broken on the part of the harness that run across the LCA, I pulled the loom back and could easily see where they broke off as the wire was just sitting in the loom
