Noticed a metal clanging sound coming from the back of my car after I took my subwoofer box out and had my back seat down. Got home climbed in the trunk and felt both washers were loose, I tighten them, go for a drive, and the sound is gone. Now when I put them together after changing the struts I made damn sure they were on tight. Has anyone else ever experienced this?

I did use an impact gun but I think it was just spinning the strut rod.

Not allowed to use torx and a wrench?

    Regardless, red loctite?

Hah I did pump the trigger Not sure what happened but I just took a 21mm wrench and a 10mm socket wrench and climbed in the trunk a wrenched away, surprisingly as awkward of placement I didn't bust my hand on anything, btw no torxs on Monroe struts.
