Hopefully, this is simple and silly.
So, I've been working on my front end, including new struts (my 1st time working on suspension). Things are better, but still have a wobble under throttle. I still haven't had alignment done, and my wheels clearly pitch/camber inward. I plan on buying Camber bolts today, Raybestos #6161036. I understand the principle of the shaft cam, but I have never dealt with this before. I do no expect instructions with these, so I appreciate any help and advice I can get.
I am worried I might need to replace half-axles, and would rather try installing camber bolts in hope it corrects wobble before I have alignment done.
1st, I am wondering if I should put them on and see if wobble is fixed or have a shop install them when I have alignment done? ie, are these re-useable or 1-time use/install (does un-installing them hurt them)?
2nd, How in the heck do you install them? LOL! What is the washer with the tabs for? Do the tabs get bent around nut, or into strut bolt hole, to lock camber bolt in place?? I just can't visualize it, a simple description/instructions would be helpful.
Thanks!
