I have an 07 gt and im hearing the clunking noise when i go over bumps so i feel like its a safe bet that the strut could be shot. what is the best way to go about trouble shooting this and is there a writeup on removal and installation?

With the car in park, just sitting push down on the trunk you should be able to find where the noise is coming from.

Removal: Take out your back seats, take off the wheel, take off the 2 bolts at the bottom of the strut, take out the 3 bolts in the trunk, take the top mount off, remove the spring.

    Install is the opposite.

The service manual on GPONA has a pretty well detailed write up.

The service manual never links right. Go to GPONA.com, and register if you havent, when you log in it will say service manual at the top of the page, put in your year, make, model and go to the service manual. It should be the first link on the page after you put in your car information. Then type strut in the search and you should find what you need.
