I have the Baer Eradispeed Big Brake Upgrade on the car so definitely not stock brake setup and 19 wheels on the car. I bought a set of stock torque stars and brand new tires. Went to put them on and all clearance seemed fine, went for a drive and the passenger side wore a nice grove in the wheel and scrapped up the caliper pretty good. The drivers side is perfectly fine, no rubbing and plenty of clearance for the larger caliper.
I pulled everything apart and visually everything looks "ok", did a few shake tests and the wheel bearing seems to have a little bit of play but nothing crazy. I believe the CV axle needs to be replaced as well just based off of the condition of the boots but no too much play there as well. I took measurements from each side and the passenger side does seem to sag about 3/4" but think that would be more the strut than anything.
Basically what all controls the position of the brake setup inside the wheel to cause it not to clear properly as the drives side has ample room? What should I be looking for to get it corrected? Thanks in advance!!
