07 gp base, there is a button for an aux but no port or connection i can see. Is there an aux port on the back of the stereo? Or connection? Do i have to use an adapter? Wuld like to know before i tear it apart. Thanks in advance.

There is no Aux input on your stereo. However, if your receiver has either and external CD changer OR XM tuner, then you can use an adapter to get aux input. I found one for around $40 that includes the Aux Input Jack (a nice looking marked "Aux Input") and 1/8" cable. Your head unit should have two connectors in the back, one of them is 12 pins... this is the one that the adapter intercepts.
Go to eBay and search: PAC AAI-GM12 Auxiliary Input Adapter Interface & IS335 Aux/RCA Cable Extender
