Thanks for your reply, AT. I checked my vehicle and it is not wired. I went to a junkyard and found 2 GPs with the HUD wiring/connector behind the instrument panel. I cut that connector out with a bunch of lead wire on it. I also cut out the console sub-harness connector with the 9 wires. I had already bought a new console, and the wiring for the switch is already in it (going from the switch to the console sub-harness).

So at this point, this is how I think it should go from here: we have 8 wires from the HUD connector that need to be connected - 5 to the console sub harness for the switch connection, and 3 going to either DIC or IPC for the 12v/ground/data connections. I have the console sub-harness connector I got from the junkyard, so would it be easier to connect the HUD wiring to that before I put it in the vehicle and then splice the other wires going to that connector after I get it in the vehicle? Or bypass the connector and wire the HUD right to the switch? Or how would I patch into the stock dash harness?

Next question is splicing to the DIC or IPC. I think i'm going to go the DIC route because it will be right there, without me having to remove the IP. What kind of splice? Just strip a portion of the DIC wires and join the HUD wires and tape it off? Or remove the DIC connector and make a 3-way splice? Or something different?

Thanks a lot for your help. I really appreciate it.
