Unless this is something I have never heard of, I dont believe you can tether internet to a head unit. Anything like pandora, song info, or something like that should be through bluetooth, a cable, or usb or such plug in.

My stereo is a Android. It has the play store. So therefore I can download any app that any person with a Android phone can. It's the same exact thing.

Not a hotspot. You have to pay for that. I just want to use my internet from my phone via Bluetooth or USB to give my phones internet to my car.

    Few things:

    What radio do you have?
    Is your Android Phone rooted?
    What car is this in?
    Verizon? ATT? Sprint?

Yes it has 2 USB ports.
It is the pumpkin 6.95. Running Android 4.4.4
    It's in a 2000 grand prix gtp.
I'm on sprint. Its not rooted. Ive rooted a phone once before. If there is a detailed video on rooting a note 4 I can do it.

Alright. Download an app called FoxFi and try out the WiFi teather option, it may or may not work. If it works great, buy the full version and go crazy -- watch you data cap. I used to use this method; however, my phone is now rooted so I just use the built in android hotspot works like a charm. Unlimited data on Verizon so I chomp through a good 20-50 gigs a month lol

Good for root instructions or check XDADevelopers

The provider has absolutely nothing to do with it, only the phone and software on the phone.

    Root it then

Absolutely correct. Your gonna have to root it. I've been debating this as well but kinda scared to mess my phone up. I have an android radio as well.

Lmao. I've jailbroke my iPhone numerous times. Lately I've had problems finding a complete guide with current and up to date information.

FoxFi is a free hotspot app that gets around the having to pay for the HOTSPOT and you don't have to root your phone.

If you need to tether PdaNet+ works great too.
