So i ordered a Aeroforce from zzp and tried connecting via only he obdII port with the jumper installed and when the gauge first came on it came up with the list and i chose knock senser 1 and misfires. After that it shut down and the two lights would just blink if i hit anything. I turned the key off and back on and it says annunciator not setup then shuts off again. So i thought maby a power issue so i removed the jumper and install with a 12v power source. The gauge is still doing the same thing. Ive tried hitting each button, both at the same time and get nothing but the lights blinking.

Well, you definitely dont need to 12v power source, it will power through the OBDII port with the jumper installed. That message is normal, that's not related with the gauge not working. Is it any different when you actually start the car, versus just power on?

Are your battery grounds all in the right places? I moved my battery ground just a few inches once, and my gauge was doing exactly what yours is.

Its funny you say that because thats exactly what i was thinking, it had something to do with the ground whether it be the battery ground or something with the ground in the obd2 port. Ima see if i can find anything. The battery ground is in the same spot bu i did have to put a new connector on it but its tight so i shouldnt be seeing an issue.

You know this is funny because I just got an Aeroforce and it's doing the exact same thing as what you're describing. The only thing I've done is disconnect it for a few seconds then plug it back in and it works. I have to do this after everytime the car get turned off.

So this is getting really old. I have done everything you can imagine to get this gauge working. I installed new battery terminals, cleaned up my grounds, disconnected anything added to the fuse box and checked my fuses, disconnected my subs, reset my pcm, ect. I sent the gauge in as Todd told me to and they sent it back to me. The gauge still is not working. I have no idea what it could be. Maby the gauge is mislabled and is not a pt series? Or is it possible my 04 compg is setup like a 5.3 or something so i would need the cn series? Idk and they are not much help. Its been over a month. I need to find someone in my area to test it on.

I'd check out the pins on the connectors on the called and your OBD port.

Might have found my issue. Today i was having problems unlocking my doors, they were getting stuck half way but i noticed if i gave it alot of throttle they would work so i tested my alt and its clipping. Got a new alternator and ill retest once its in.

Maybe the wire harness is bad.

    Just guessing.

MY thoughts but why would torque app work fine? I wonder could a car starter cause issues? i noticed the antenna is hooked up under there.

Thats what i thought. You would think if they tested the gauge working they would figure this out but i know for a fact its the exact same cable i sent to them with the gauge cus there is a littler mark on it in the plastic.

Im getting really fed up with Aeroforce atm tis been over a month of me troubleshooting this ****ing thing and come to find out the gauge/cable actually is bad after already sending it in and them telling me its good. I tested it on a buddies bonniville and got the exact same issue.

I'd try to find someone local who could swap cables with. I'd so it if you were close.

Well just incase anyone was wondering i told aeroforce to send me a new cable and sure enough its now working. PITFA Almost 2 months of trying to figure this thing out thanks to aeroforce not just checking the cable the first time it went in. But atleast its working and people can use this as reference.
