Has anyone tried taking the Radio/Navigation from a GP GXP and putting it in a GP GT? I don't like the looks of the aftermarket units for 04+ and wanted to pull the unit out of a GXP from the junkyard......I know they have XM and all that fun stuff but are the connections going to be back there? (similar to cars that didn't come with HUD yet the connections are still back there)
2006 GT- S1x, 3.25 MPS, Lucas 42.5, MAF, SD Headers, C5 Brakes, AGX/Vogtland, GMPP sways

To the best of my knowledge you will still have to get a GPS antenna. It mounts on top of the dash under the defroster grille. Also to the best of my knowledge, the XM receiver is a separate item which mounts inside the left rear quarter panel. There is no wiring back there. In your year, you'd need the XM/OnStar combo antenna that mounts above the rear window.

This is based on my 2005.

You will also have to go to the dealership and have radio programmed for your car( about $75-100)
