On my 99GTP I thought the door speaker was blown because it was really quiet, but it turns out it had a Delco 4ohm speaker in it (from 97-98 I think instead of proper 2ohm Bose, was in an accident)
I have some speakers 6.5 factory speakers from my camaro with a "monsoon" style - 2 ohm speakers and a factory amp.
The door speakers appear to have a unique 4-pin connector for individual woofer/tweeter. Can I just solder on standard factory end to one set of terminals and then jumper red/red and black/black to the tweeter at the other end? Is that going to change the ohms and mess up the volume level as well?
The other option is the use the factory 6.5 "subwoofer" (also 2 ohm) from the camaro sail panel - it already has the correct end, it's a bit deeper than the regular speaker, though I think the separate grand prix factory tweeter may be, if so I'd need to replace it or at least swap it from the other door
