yeah chances are the bulbs are shot or solder has lost connection, there pretty easy to take apart and solder in an led. I did a full swap on my GTP. So it is totally posible if you have the time.

alright so how do you do that? i tried to take the door off the other day but i couldnt... it seem like it was stuck... then again i may have forgotten to take something off... just take the door off and remove the switch panel and solder them on? on a scale of 1-10 how diffucult is it?

Woah you're working way too hard there. Take a flathead screwdriver and CAREFULLY remove the switch panel by prying it off. Take out the two plugs and the rest is fairly easy.

Remove the switch panel from the BOTTOM of the panel (the part furthest away from the mirror adjustment). There is a metal clip at that end that holds the switch panel into the door. There is a plastic lip at the top edge that is notorious for breaking off if you get crazy with it. Then your switch panel will not snap back into place and just kinda sit there. Ask me how I know, lol....

MattF do you mean pry off the switch panel while the door is still attached or with the door panel off? and the other day i got the door off... broke some of the clips holding it in place though :/ and then i had to unscrew the switch panel from the door panel and i had it loose... i saw that it was clipped together but i didnt try to hard to remove them for fear of breaking them so i just left them on and put everything together again

No, there is no need to remove the door to get at the switch panel. Take a flat head screwdriver, start at the bottom of the panel and carefully pry it up.
