It's an actual reprogram from SPS using a tech2 or MDI. It will teach it the vin number, options, etc.

If that doesn't for some reason fix it there might be a problem with the cluster itself.
I have seen different pin outs as well from different years

    I'm located in Saginaw.

You can't unlock a bcm. Sometimes you can program options or configuration but rarely . dic and speedo aren't a problem.Hvac would be a separate module that would be flashed/programmed..

I can't remember ever seeing hvac on the list for a gp. Perhaps the wiring harness itself is physically different on cars with heated seats. I could look.

Definitely an update for the pcm on our cars but if you tune with hpt or anything else the update would be pointless.

well for one if i remember correctly gxp speedo goes up higher in speeds...and for two its made for a v8 so you would probably need a tuner for it

I'm sure there's a way but have u considered just peeling off the Gxp overlay and putting it on the stocker
    06 GXP | 222/227 cam/cartuning turbo kit on 8psi/meth/e85 coilovers/ still on stock trans at 130k

I was honestly thinking of that today, but 80% of the reason I changed was because it went to 160. I have my original speedo apart at the moment trying to figure out which relay triggers or checks for abs/trac/brake. If there even is one lol

if he peeled off the overlay and put it on the normal one his speedometer would be really off probably by about 10 miles per hour
