I just recently installed a gxp speedometer in my 06 gt. Now my ABS light is on and so is parking brake. I don't know what is wrong, I just unplugged the old one and installed the new one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Needs to be programmed to your car. Vin relearn more than likely. Youll need a tech2

same thing happened to mine when i hooked up a different one, the DIC also flashed a bunch of stuff about traction control/stabillity or something or other..
ive never figured out if it was BCM or what.. I really hate that you need to get a tech2 to get this crap fixed up.
oh it works no problem, just displays some errors lol
theres a difference between year ranges too, like 04-05 is one type, then theres something about a CAN bus or something or other that i cant remember right now.
ive gotten a speedo outta a 04 and it didnt work, 05 same issue, differnt 04, nope..
i think its something to do with the way my car was programed or something.
would be great, if i had one, i could reporgram my 5 button to correct milage, fix my speedo, figure out how to make heated seat buttons work lol
toys are fun
nothing, i wanna put in one that i would cusomtize, but soon as i do it makes alerts on the dic.. must be a way to "unlock" it or something.. i dunno tech2 talk lol
Tech2 would do none of those.
Tech2 is best for programming new modules into vehicles. Like setting vin, option configurations (ex. rpo code input). Updating modules through the acdelcotech site, Radio setup, etc.. It will read anything gm with the assistance of a candi module. MDI is the newer gm vehicles 2010+
It may just be coincidental but I know 100% the Intrument cluster IS an option on the reprogram and flash list when on tis/sps

no it wont, your car came from factory with out the options programmed that the new speedo has. someone here has gone through this issue already. It the FSM i believe that is programmed. im pretty sure there is a procedure to do this. you will need a more in depth scanner as perry mentioned.
Yes.
