CO5001 (500 Watts Max Power) - Orion Card Audio

    thats the amp

and in the owners manual on the port layout it says this

"REM Remote Turn-on Input - turns on/off the amplifier when fed Switched 9 - 15
    V+."

so i guess i just to know where in the car can i tap into for this

i have an aftermarket hu and theres a mess of wires behind it
so basicly i just need to find a switched 12v source?
Is there any in the trunk that can be used, that'll be easier then running it all the way up front. But if i have to then ill make do and try to find it. What is it used for? just telling the amp when to turn on?

Yeah any ignition wire would be ideal to use. Nothing like that would be in the trunk.

why dont you just solder a new length of wire to the existing wire, so it reaches the new amp location?

drill a hole, nut and bolt that sucker down? sand the paint off first.

or sand and use a fat self tapping screw to the trunk.

sand down around a strut bolt, works great and is good connection. dont do a self tapper, they will loose connection or not be a great ground. bolt is secured
