So i was in the process of replacing my rear 6x9 s. When i installed the new ones they werent even moving at all.

So i whip out the multimeter and there is no current of any sort.

I do have the 4 speaker rear deck.

I do have subwoofers if that makes a difference.

    Any ideas guys?

    Yeah i had AC.

    Quite literally there was nothing....

Its funny, i have them unplugged now and no speakers in those at all, and there is no difference in sound at all.

So i dont think they ever worked:sly:

is your fader to the front? and with the power rating being so low you should only see like 6-7 volts. ohms law FTW!

Nope my fader is even, i even put it all the way to the back just to see.

I have an amplifier under the glove box?
I read somewhere that those only take relatively low Hz like <120 Hz.

    I'll recheck this afternoon.

But i dont mind the weight reduction. From no seats... RACEKAR

Many 97-98 cars have the 8 speaker system with the amp.

I think when I did mine back when I had my 97, I disconnected the 2 small cycle speakers but I dont remember if I mess with the amp.

Do a test, route them to the front speaker wires, if they dont work then your subs coulda blew them out. Usually subs blow out weaker rear speakers

Tested speakers on front door wires.

Speakers work. So its the wiring to the 6x9s...

maybe fader is busted, amp is busted, wires messed up,can you try and check output from the amp itself?
