I am looking to install my Passport 8500 under my rear view mirror and I am interested in using one for my Regal GS and am concerned about fvcking it up. It *looks* straight forward and easy as pie but there are plenty of things out there that look that way and are super easy to wreck.
Anyone know off the top of their head which wires are the ground and which one is the 12V wire on the auto dimming mirror?
Thanks in advance guys.
MirrorTap Radar Detector Power Cord for Escort Beltronics Valentine one

"The MirrorTap is constructed of 24 gauge wire with a 2 amp inline fuse and a black braided flexible sleeve that looks more Factory than a flat shiny Phone Cord. Please note: Our installation instructions do not show you the exact Slots in your harnees to poke the Taps into, you'll have to either test your Slots for +12V Switch (VoltMeter) and Ground (OhmMeter), or visit a stereo installer or 12Volt Shop.Basically, if your Radar Detector is BlendMounted under your AUTO Dimming mirror (with exposed Wire Harness on its rear face), the 9" overall length is long enough. We recommend the 12" overall length for Suction Cup mounted radar detectors NEAR the AUTO Dimming Mirror's exposed Wire Harness. The 12" overall length is also best if the RJ11 jack on your RD is on the opposite side of your Mirror's Harness; we include zip ties to secure any slack."
