this is the sub Lightning Audio® : Product Details
and thiese are the speakers Buy Pyle 5.25in Gear Component Speaker System Speakers - Audio PLG5C today at MacConnection
i have a 280 watt amp for the sub and i wanted to hook up the speakers as well but i dont really want to run 2 amps
i just checked the sub and its not 750 watts it look exactly like the one in the link but it says 300 watt maximum on the magnet of the sub
thus is the exact sub Lightning Audio Bolt P3.12.4 12" 4-ohm component subwoofer - Accessories at Crutchfield.com
ill get the amp in just a minute
The speakers are only 50w RMS with 100w Peak and are 4 ohms.
The sub is 150w RMS with 750w Peak and is 4 ohms.
I recommend this amplifier: Sound Ordnance™ M-4050 4-channel car amplifier — 50 watts RMS x 4 at Crutchfield.com
You would run each front speaker through its own channel giving it 50w @ 40 ohms, then bridge two channels for 180w RMS @ 4 ohms for the subwoofer.
as hippo said, you can get away with running only one amp
Oh then its only 20-100w RMS and has an impedance of 4 ohms. You could run it off of a single unbridged channel on the amp i recommended which would give it 50w RMS.
Then with the left over channel, wire the two tweeters in parallel, which would give them 90w RMS @ 2 ohms.
I think my sub hits pretty hard for what it is. The front speakers are like the stock ones thats why i wanted to hook them up to an amp and i also have the 2 6x9's in the back other than that evreything is stock. i got a box that looks like a trapazoid non ported the wiring kit the amp and the sub for 15 bucks so i aint *****ing. its kinda funny because all of the kids at my school have like p3's and p2's and spend like 1000 to get them installed i just laugh at them because it only takes about an hour to wire a car for subs. and i only paid 15 for my whole set up lol.
