Recently purchased a 2000 GP GTP and am under the impression that the speakers need replaced since only the drivers door is producing any sound at all. I'm going to assume they are all blown unless someone else has had this problem... My town has no proper car audio shop any longer so I have lots of (probably silly) questions. Please advize with these things in mind: I would rather not do lots of labor intensive modding, I don't need a system to blow away anything else in town, I don't have that kind of budget. I would like to have a reliable system thats louder than stock systems, I'm not interested in winning any audio competitions.

    Key Components already owned:

2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP w/HUD
Pioneer DEH 16 50wx4 channel Head unit
    VR3 2 channel 200w amp
    Stock Chrysler 6x9 speakers
Roadmaster RTS200C Cabinet Speakers (rated at 300W total peak for two 6.5" speakers... supposedly...)
*all audio components were last used and working in 2007 and have been stored indoors

    Problem 1: Head Unit Install
I may eventually upgrade the head unit in the future for a unit with aux-in and a higher power output (any reasonable reccomendations?). The problem is I haven't been able to find a dash mount install kit that would fit my 2000. I've seen soooo many that are -1999 and 2001+ . What kit (flushmount if possible) fits the 2000? I would like to preserve my HUD station indicator and wheel functions as well. Assuming that the dash install kit doesn't come with one, what Wiring Harness/Adapter would allow for that?

    Problem 2: Speakers
I found that the GP has 4 speakers. 2 door mounted 5.25" and 2 rear deck mounted 6"x9". It seems worth it to upgrade to a full 6.5" in the doors. Is there a simple method of doing so? I was thinking weather stripping and a drill if neccessary... is there an easier or better way? On a budget of about $75-$100 (for all 4) what speakers are reccomended and will the budget withstand my request for beating out the quality and volume of stock audio systems? It does Occur to me that I could take out the 6.6" speakers from the roadmaster cabinet pair and install those maybe? I question their power output and reliability not to mention full range ability... They are a Woofer + Tweeter combo cabinets. I also have my used Chrysler speakers but again question their output and reliability. I would just prefer to use the Woofers and or Chrysler 6X9's with the AMP in addition to replacing the GP's speakers or not use those at all.

I appreciate your time and kindness. ~Thank You~
