I am also wanting to replace my 2004 6x9's. I will post my assumptions and hope someone with a correct technical answer will reply... I want to replace the factory 2-ways with Kicker 3-ways. Since the monsoon amp splits the signal, couldn't I just splice them together and connect it to the normal input leads on the new speakers? Also, does anyone know if the signal is split because the amp separates frequencies or is it is split to send more wattage to the woofer and less the the mid/tweeter? I would be suprised if the amp also acts as a crossover and splits the freq's..
