i have an 08 grand prix base model with a non monsoon stero. I have subs and everythign but i want a hookup for my ipod, i have tried multiple fm transmitters with plenty of static to listen to. I have seen a few in line adapters for stock radios where they just plug into the stock harness and then into the radio, anyone know what im talking about and where i can get one?

Crutchfield doesn't have any, and you say the transmitters fail? It seems that your only option then is to put in a head unit.

    PAC doesn't have anything either...

I got one from a car audio place in mi when I lived there. Works pretty well. Don't remember the name of it tho. It was something generic.

I paid about $50 for my set up. More for installation, but its pretty easy to hookup.

P.I.E Aux Input Adapter For GM Connect a portable music player, satellite radio tuner, or DVD player to your factory GM receiver (Model GM12-AUXv2) at Crutchfield.com

This is what I installed in mine, Its a 2005 grandprix with the stock stereo, works great for me, took maybe an hour total to take everything apart hook it up and put it back together!
