FYI...your battery begins to charge ~12.6V I believe. If you drop below that, then you start pulling power from the battery. So unless your engine is off...why is your battery important with an audio install?

well put a lawn mower battery in start your car and turn your system all the way up you will soon learn the importance of a good battery

I haven't found any academic proof that says a solid 12V battery source is necessary to run in line while utilizing 120amp/13.6V source.
How many 20amp outlets does your home theatre require?
