It's a two questions in one sorta thing.

When I first got my radio and speakers installed, fog lights would not turn on anymore. So today got my lazy ass into the garage and took the dash apart to find out that they didn't plug the switch for the fog lights back in.

Now, the fog lights work and turn on, but when I press the switch, there's no light indicating the fogs are on. Does that mean all I have to do is replace the bulb for it? Is it easy to do?

Also, when they installed the radio and speakers for me, they put 6 1/2 in the doors. The driver side works nice and kicks nice, but the passenger side is touching something and there obnoxious buzzing noise that keeps me from enjoying the bass. I am pretty sure it's coming from the top right corner, would I have to put another screw in to keep it held down or what?

It's not that hard to fix the bulbs. But if you can solider, put in some LEDs

Soldering shouldn't be that hard, it's the rewiring that I find hard to do, if I have to do any.

I was talking to a few people on chat regarding what these buttons may be?

I just took pictures of them:

    Those are the two buttons

And these are under the steering wheel, these were leading from the buttons to the fuse box located in the glove box:

And here are the two wires(?) I taped them both, one of the wires was just stuck in with a fuse over it to hold it in place, can't remember where it was connected to, whether it was HVAC Cntrl or the DIC...I know it had HVAC in it. Can't remember where the other wire connected to though.

Do you really need to make multiple threads about your wiring situations?

Do you really need to post a reply just to say that?

This is different, and my last thread in this section was months back, so chill the **** out.

So what exactly is your question... unless I missed something.
Your wondering what the buttons are for?(because those are installed ones, therefore I could only guess) Or "Can't remember where the other wire connected to though" You need to know where said wire goes ?
The wires are to the fuse box for power, then it must lead to something else?

I wanted to know if anyone might have any guesses to what these switches were used for, that's it. I thought it would help if I mentioned where these wires where going to.

I just want to get an idea what the previous owner screwed with, just so I know what I am working with, didn't know half the stuff I did when I first bought the car.

The wires don't go anywhere else? Just to the switches and the fuseblock?

Yeah, the wires are connected to the buttons, theres that lump of wires under the steering wheels, and then the rest just leads to the fusebox.

He probably had something attached and took them out before he sold the car, but that's all I see right now.

Well, the right side, has bad paint, the owner's father said that his sons ex gf keyed his car, according to my friend, he's saying that the car was involved in some sort of accident...

Other than that, the GTP badges are on each of the doors, there's a GTP on the back too. Dash was painted silverish, and the 3800 Grand Prix badge was placed inside and the V6 badge was placed near the shifter...

Then for sure it went to ricey a$$ interior or underglow lighting... the previous owner was probably too lazy to uninstall the 5$ worth of wiring and switches.
At least you have a wire set up if you ever want to install something.

The switches are just switches. They're not specifically made for anything specific

Power on...power off...that's all they do. Open and close a power circuit. What are they rated for? I have no idea. But they're nothing special. Look like typical $1.50 radio shack switches.

For all we know it engaged/disengaged an air pump for a blow up doll allowing the previous owner to drive in HOV lanes *shrug*

The buzzing is probably the door pins, take the panel off and shove some foam under each one. I cut up a shoe insole that I had laying around.
And you don't have to do any rewiring to put leds in... just 1k 1/2 watt resistors

    Alright that makes sense, thanks!

I had some sponges sitting there earlier, but they got hard and only did the job for a few days, I'll have to give it a better look once I get the door panel off.

Yeah, that's a Pokemon in my display pic, Lucario's his name.
