Subwoofer repair?

Does anyone have any suggestions on some glue i can use to repair my sub? Ive been having so much trouble with this thing. It came unglued once and i got it repaired at the audio store and then the foam surround ripped like 2 weeks after getting it back. they fixed it again for me and this time reinforced the surround because they said that wasnt the first time a JL has ripped right after repair. Now its just came unglued again and im pretty tired of dealing with these people and paying them so i just want to glue it myself.

i thought about that, i was just wondering if super glue would dry too hard for the foam to be flexible still. And does super glue eat through some types of foam?

I always use this...Parts-Express.com ? Gorilla Glue ? Adhesive Cement, Gorilla Tape, Bonding Glue, Speaker Building Glue, Pure Polyurethane Glue

Look for some stuff called E6000, Hobby Lobby around here sells it. It holds really well and does not dry hard so it won't crack. Fixed many a surround with it.

I think i'll try out some gorilla glue first and then just go down the list unitl i find something that works

ive never done this on a woofer, but i have used rubber cement to seal stuff up, and that seems to be a candidate for it. smear some on both sides where the 2 parts meet let dry completely, and press together, pushing and rubbing to the closest edge, to remove any air left in the seal.

gorilla glue isn't very flexible, it seems to be kind of brittle when dry too.

One of its purposes is for speaker building/ re-coning. Its what I used at the shop I worked at.

When they say active speaker builder, that is not meant for speaker assembly. They mean it to be used when building the speaker enclosures. Just go buy E6000 and be done with it, it dries clear and wont look like like **** when it dries.

You need to find a way to clamp the surround to the cone or else it's not really going to work. Need to clean off the area too. Might be a good excuse to learn how to recone? Why won't they just warranty the sub?

Gorilla glue, or a 2 part epoxy. And as I800 said you need to have it clamped until its dry.

Dont ask... But that and gorilla glue is holding that together on over 3kw daily.
