Ok, so heres what i got...My brake lights work sometimes and sometimes they dont.Everything else always works tho.Turn signals, third brake light, running lights ect. It has done it for over two years.Fuses, wires and all other simple things are good. The odd thing is that my 3rd brake light always works, so i know its not the switch. Its a 2000 with the DRL's unhooked if that makes any difference.Has anyone had this happen to them?Any feedback would be great, ive managed to not get a ticket so far but its all just luck

I know on the first gens when this problem occurred the only solution was to replace the turn signal switch, not sure about 2nd gens though

I have had a similar problem. It has only done it once but ALL of my brake lights quit working. I checked the fuse and it was good. I rapped on the fuse block a few times and they came back on. I think my fuse block has a short in it. They people i bought it from told me about it.

I will check the fuse box connections then, i never thought about that. But if it is the turn signal switch, is it a b!#ch to replace? The steering column is one of the only things ive yet to take apart...
