Ok, so this is the deal.My keyless entry has been screwin up for a while now.Its circuit board is now deceased. So i picked up 2 used key fobs for 5 bucks at a junk yard. They look identicle to mine, but are off of an impala (05 i think and they have the spot for the battery in a different place)First, will impala fobs work and second, how do you program one of these babys anyway???

Any advice would be greatly appriciated, tanx

check the part # on your old one's and the new ones to see if they match, then make sure the fcc# are different, if one of the new ones match the fcc# it wont work. then do a relearn of the fob after you know its the right ones.

Your FCC ID should be ABO-0204T. That's for a '98 GP. '97-'00 should use the same remote, 01+ used a different one.

the way i found my part # was i searched ebay for my year car and double checked a bunch of sales to make sure they were all the same #, and Google helped, just ask what the part # of anything and it will get you somewhere. it was my first stop. then found one i liked and ordered it up.
