one 18 is enough thank you.
And that enclosure would be awesomely horrible.
I want this in my back seat:

the box would be full of win whether it souunded good or not
some one was selll that box near me for like 200
LOL it has inherent phase issues that create a sweet spot and phase cancellation means you cant hear any bass outside of that sweet spot.
I am personally thinking about 1 12" in the trunk corner... the box design i have seen on cgp ... goes around the trunk access hole.. use the un-used corner for a fancy amp rack. Anything has to be better than this bose bull****.
Link?
Thats pretty lame considering you'd get more SPL (for free i might add) just by moving the subs rearward in the trunk.
i want to be able to still use my trunk regardless of sound quality... however it sucks that I roll with a full size spare... so the well doesnt work. I don't want to compromise on space..thats my main deal.
I was thinking of leaving the pass through open. I was always taught to point them to the rear...ie.. make it bounce off the trunk before coming to you. I agree "imaging" would be better with them pointed at you.
I meant having the subs facing rearward but near the rear of the trunk.
You want the driver as close to the furthest boundary as possible. That minimizes cancellations which lower SPL.
Do you ever the run the system without your vehicle actually being on? Sorry but if your alternator can push that much there's no need for a battery. I didn't think SAZ used high voltage power supplies to push power either. Maybe I'm wrong?
Either way...I can't stand extra batteries being placed in the trunk without any coherent design. I hope the response isn't..."but it's a battcap!!"
EDIT: Just watched some videos...I really can't stand that type of listening setup but if that was your goal good job. We have two distinctly different tastes. However, I still don't think you need a battery. I'm also a little confused with design goals. You show numbers for a burp, "tuned" box for 32hz, and probably play it as a daily driver. Are you just trying to be loud? It wasn't even your box design, was the box tuned to the t/s parameters of the speakers? I'm just starting to feel like your build is trendy vs. intelligent design. There have been guys who have hit 150db on 500watts. Why do you need two SAZ-3000's? In a perfect world you'll gain 3db but I don't see that happening in your ride.

Clearly you need to invest in some Funky Pups. I heard they have been banned from SPL comps.

rob its 3 for the extra driver and 3 for the power to supply it.
and i think someone recently sold funky pup dust caps. I want some... lmao
Maybe I read his thread wrong...I thought he was running both subs at .5ohm on a single SAZ-3000. Prior to mentioning that he said he wanted to run BOTH amps strapped at .5ohm load. Then...after he mentioned his setup..."I still haven't installed the second amp"
I probably became confused. The whole thread seemed like a nut rag for bass heads. Nothing that really seemed to implicate that they enjoyed music(how can you with extra music your vibrating vehicle contributes?), the science of audio, or anything else. But I will say it was impressive to see those numbers IF his install wasn't actually based on any real design or thought process.
