    no pictures unfortunatly...

start at the begning, take the bottom seat out
remove the bottom bolts holding the seatbelts
remove the top bolts that you showed in YOUR picture.
    pull the seats
    lift the deck lid cover
    replace.

yeah.. take at look at how the drivers side clip works, sometimes you need a screwdriver or something to press the switch over to have it come up..

trust me when i say It WILL come out.. might just take a bit of wiggle

i cant compare to driver side because it seem to have no plastic handle .... maybe the previous user remove it for any reason .... but i check in my 97 GTP ... does it the same plastic lock ?

Ok I just tried to pull the clips out from underneath the seat cushion, to remove the lower backseat, and couldnt get it to budge. Looks like Lentrave got further than I did, I couldnt even get my seat cushion out. My Alpines are screaming to replace the stock speakers too lol. Im so frustrated.

under the front lip of the seat there are tabs, pop them, then lift up, grabbing the front of the seat, and lift, it will come up

yeah .... lift .... what i do its i push the back of the seat down to unclip the seat from de black plate and i lift the back of the seat to acess the front clip ... and i take a screwdriver to push the clip because just with the tabs its not enought to release the seat.... its hard to explain .... and for those bolts realy hard to remove i use a electric impact and its work.... you can see the back clip on the black metal plate on this photo ... at the left (between the seat belt and the yelow flashlight)

Do all year GP's have 4 deck speakers like in the 98 GTP? I had 2 6x9's and some smaller 3x5's in the rear deck, stock. I'm thinking just swapping out the 6x9 might cause problems if the smaller drivers are left connected..

    Just thinking out loud.
