I have the same problem except on the drivers side. I jumped in the trunk to check and see if the wire was unplugged or something but there's no visible problem.

I also tried to remove both speakers to swap them, to check whether the problem is with the wiring or the speaker itself. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to remove them. I found the tabs on them that appear to allow them to lift up for removal through the interior, but I can't budge them. There aren't any screws that I can see so I'm stuck.

    Can anyone help?

You have to remove the back seats, side panels and top deck to access the rear speakers. Kind of a pain in the ass but not too bad of a job.

No problem. it is a bit time consuming but not too bad of a job. Deffinitlly worth it to get some good speakers in there and get some good sound happening!

For sure, it's not difficult to do. There are 2 plastic pull tabs on the bottom of the lower seat that you pull out and the seat lifts up and out. The upper section is bolted in where the seat belts bolt to the car and then it lifts up off of a couple tabs and comes out. The side panels are held in with clips and I think the back deck is as well. once you get going with it you will see how it all comes out. Shouldn't take too long at all. For the doors, there are 2 round bolt covers behind the handle you pop out. You need a torx bit or I used a flat screwdriver to get the 2 bolts out. Then there are just clips holding it in. Might take a bit longer doing it the first time but you should be able to figure it out. Good luck!
