Rice, you can dremel out the stock brackets to fit the 6 1/2" speakers. I did that on my 03 without any issue. Zip tying those speakers in, you lose a lot of the speakers ability to produce a good clear sound cause those zip ties are not gonna hold up again any bass that might push them.

yeah ive been working on my sound system alot lately and I actually got a few of the screw holes to match up, but i still got the zip tyes on there hahaOriginally Posted by GeddyLee

Just some food for thoughtbut sounds even better my door doesnt rattle at all, but yeah that dremel tool trick would have been ideal but i thew away the brackets. oh well it sounds and looks fine.
